Are you ready to ROOMBA?!

Mike and I had a great time registering for our wedding gifts. We added a bunch of sensible stuff, things we thought would be fun to have and one completely outrageous gift we would love to own and thought no one would ever buy us.

Well, someone bought it for us.

It's called the Roomba, and I love it.

The Roomba is essentially a robot vacuum. All you do is push "Clean" and it takes off. As the lady on the box says, "I come home, and the house is clean!"

We were shocked when we opened the present. We were not expecting to get this present, so we were stoked when it showed up on our doorstep. Needless to say, the senders received a BIG thank you note :)

I must admit; the thing scares the bejesus out of me. I'm afraid it's going to turn on at night and take over the house. Weird things scare me. Hermit crabs for one. Why do they have to shed their shells? Just stay put!

I digress.

Once the Roomba was charged, Mike giddily turned it on. It took off-- it starts in a circle, and then works from the center of the room to the corners, until the whole room is clean. You can even set up these "invisible wall" sensors so it knows where to stop. Once it's done, the vacuum returns to the docking station and shuts down. I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO PUT IT AWAY. Love you Roomba.

I admit I was skeptical, but we tried it out in a small room and MAN was that room clean! It even went under the bed and came out looking pretty dusty. It put my housekeeping skills to shame.

And for those of you keeping count, I now don't have to cook or clean. Score.

We decided the Roomba needed a name. Jeeves seemed appropriate.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Jeeves:
