Take a Seat!

Come on over for dinner; we finally have a kitchen table!


Surprisingly enough, eight months without a kitchen table is not that hard--we eat in front of the TV a lot. We were very blessed to receive money for our wedding and we plan to use it to buy some key furniture and appliances for the house. The kitchen table was one of them.

Our house doesn't have a separate dining room--just a big kitchen. We wanted to find a table that would fit in the kitchen without taking up too much space, but would also function as a dining room table when we move later in life and have an actual dining room. We found a winner!


It took us one afternoon to buy the table--we visited a store, saw a cheap table, discussed, saw a more expensive table, discussed. Visited another store and quickly left. Back to original store and signed the papers. Hey, we decided on a house in a weekend--a table is nothing!

We decided the more expensive table was a better investment because of the quality, plus we would need the extra space in a few years anyway--and it had a fold-in leaf and extra storage in the base!


We also splurged on six chairs, so we have plenty of seating for dinner parties. I'll have Mike cook up something nice for you.
